How many of you remember Mythbusters? Show of hands?

Okay, I know the TV series just officially ended last year, but I have so many memories watching it during my college years, it brings up a little bit of nostalgia for me. The truth is, I mainly knew about and watched Mythbusters because my boyfriend at the time was kind of a nerd and really enjoyed watching things blow up. But it’s okay, because I actually found the show really funny, picked up some scientific observations along the way, and oh, yeah--I ended up marrying that boy, so it basically prepared me for the type of shows I’m going to be watching for the rest of my life.

Fast forward a few (plus a handful) of years, and a new show is coming to town (literally). On March 5, Detroit’s Fox Theatre will host Brain Candy Live!, starring Adam Savage (editor in chief of and former co-host of Mythbusters) and Michael Stevens (creator of award-winning YouTube Channel “Vsauce”). While it’s a live show rather than a television series, Brain Candy Live! focuses on a similar blend of curiosity and humor, so it’s sure to be a fun night out for anyone who’s wired with a curious mind and/or appreciation for laughter.
