One Hundred

Photobucket

Can you believe it? This is my little blog's 100th post.

I missed its official one-year birthday, but there was no way I was going to let myself miss two important milestones. This is big stuff, guys. I mean, I had two potted mums on my back deck last fall, and they didn't even last a month.

Over the span of these past 100 posts, I've shared with you all a scattering of everyday stories, recounts of exploratory trips, and random quips about anything and everything that comes across my mind. Ninety-nine posts ago, I had just moved to a part of the U.S. that was completely foreign to me, and I wasn't sure which way was up. But now, I can honestly say that I've settled in, and this place that I originally thought of as a vacation spot has now become familiar and comfortable. Michigan ain't so bad, y'all.

So, this afternoon, I'm celebrating by watching my favorite "blog movie," Julie & Julia, and have taken upon myself to print a bunch of Instagram photos that represent everything I've done this year. I can't wait to hang them up--my house is going to look like a 1970's dark room pretty soon.

If you're just now meeting me, or just want to catch up on what's happened in my past 100 blog journeys, feel free to browse the post archive on the right sidebar. And don't be afraid to leave a little comment love--after all, doesn't our little blog buddy deserve a few words on its big day?

Have a great weekend, everyone. :)

  1. Thank you, BLOG, for making it seem like our Jennifer isn't so very far away from home. We miss you, Jennifer, so much, but are so proud of you for making your way "up North there."

  2. Dear Jennifer!

    Congratulation to your first 100!!!!
I always have so much fun reading your posts, they tell much more about your country than tv documentaries are able to show. I wish you a lot of fun posting the following 100 and I'm looking forward to reading them!

    Love Heike
